Talking Mona Lisa
Created by BMW in Paris, France , 2018
For the Paris Motor Show, the BMW marketing team set up an installation to showcase BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant by using Leonardo Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa. Visitors could have a conversation with Mona Lisa on the square in front of the Centre Georges-Pompidou in Paris. The display was 10 meters high and 7.5 meters wide. Using face-tracking technology, Mona Lisa was also able to move her face and hands on the 75-square-meter LED screen and answer questions visitors speak into a microphone in French, English and German. The live installation was accompanied by a social media campaign including a version on Facebook. This installation is an excellent example of using new technology to create innovative ways for people to build an experiential connection with art in an exciting way.
