Zalando has launched their Algorithmic Fashion Companion (AFC) to pick out outfits based on an article of clothing someone just bought. AFC has been taught, through machine learning, what makes a good outfit and can provide users with recommendations on what to buy to complement their items of choice. A user will pick an "anchor item" and the algorithm will build an outfit around it. A recently conducted survey showed 50% of outfits by humans and AFC were considered "good outfits."
