A project of Formula D Interactive, the Immersive Gulf Stream Experience at Miami’s Patricia and Philip Frost Museum of Science explores the impact of the Gulf Stream on marine life around the globe. Cast over an 18-metre long and 3-metre high expanse, the interactive, HD projected environment features thousands of virtual inhabitants under the command of Formula D’s specially-designed schooling algorithm. Visitors engage with camera tracking sensors to command the installation’s flowing waters in real time, amidst high definition, three-dimensional animations.
