Lull
Created by AV&C in Houston, TX, USA , 2016
For the 2016 edition of Houston’s Day for Night festival, artists Vincent Houzé, Stephen Baker and David Bianciardi (of design agency AV&C) took over the center of a 6,000 square foot warehouse with lull: a hypnotic digital projection meant to simulate the liminal space between wakefulness and sleep. Comprised of a triangular construction stretched with translucent fabric, lull casts waves of light through dense, cascading fog, with visuals based in part on human brain activity under general anesthesia.
