A collaboration between the Saatchi & Saatchi Wellness branding agency and creative technology studio Random Quark, The Art of Feeling seeks to translate the unique fingerprint of an individual's emotional memory into tangible pieces of art. Donning an EEG headset, participants are asked to close their eyes and focus on a significant memory for 30 seconds, while the device scans the flood of their brain’s electrical activity. This dataset is processed using a swarm visualisation algorithm, then fed to the digital canvas via predetermined palettes of swirling color. The resulting paintings were printed and exhibited in an East London art gallery.
