Over 1 million People tuned in to the first edition of the digital festival, Tomorrowland Around the World. More than 60 artists of the music industry’s most famous artists recorded their performances spread across the world on 4 large green screen stages. In addition to six 4K Ultra HD cameras, a number of virtual cameras were created per stage, allowing the show director to choose up to 38 cameras during recordings. The digital 3D environment consisted of multiple outdoor stages each on their own island. Each island has a 16 square kilometer surface area packed with 32,000 trees and plants. Performances featured special effects, spectacular fireworks, impressive laser shows and realistic crowd and sound effects as well.
